Meet Dr. Alexandra Kalabat Semma

Your Birmingham & Grosse Pointe Farms Orthodontist

I chose orthodontics because I am drawn to the personable relationships I get to build with my patients. Since orthodontic treatment is not a one-visit process, I have the opportunity to truly get to know my patients and their families over time.
It’s incredibly rewarding to help patients feel more confident, whether it is a child, teen, or adult, and to watch that confidence grow as their smile transforms throughout treatment.

I was drawn to the legacy and history this practice has built in the community. It’s clear that genuine trust has been established here over the years, and that kind of reputation does not happen by accident.

My Treatment Philosophy

My philosophy of treatment is built around a few core principles: evidence-based care, treating as needed, and always putting the patient first.

I rely on research and proven techniques to guide my treatment planning, but I also believe in only treating what's truly necessary. Not every case needs the most complex approach. Above all, I want my patients to feel like their needs and comfort come first throughout their entire treatment.

Giving Back to the Community

Community involvement is important to me, and I regularly volunteer at my church, where I enjoy giving back and staying connected to the people around me.

Outside of the Office

Outside of orthodontics, I love spending time with family and friends. Cooking, especially with my mother, is one of my favorite ways to relax and stay connected to my roots. I also enjoy getting outside for long walks, traveling and exploring new places, and playing golf.
